Flowers and butterflies

by Sonia Wentser

This Painting has been chosen for the Summer 97
"Fine Birds, Fine Feathers Exhibition" at The Booth Museum, Brighton, UK,

This eye-catching bouquet shows the artist's tremendous talent to depict flowers evolving from buds to fully grown.

Butterflies add an airy touch to the painting.

Besides the colorful elements one often forgets to take a look at the background.

In this painting the artist has used a basic technique of her Art, working out the background down to the sketch.

The feathers are glued to create a radiance which support the radiance of the bouquet, glued vertically the same feathers would have flatened the subject and annihilated the tri-dimensional impression of this painting.
